David Douard « Permanent Hymns » at Galerie Chantal Crousel

One of my favorite shows in Paris this year so far. The accompanying text by Charlie Fox @ghostwoodfox says « … une version mutante de la sculpture qui laisse entrevoir les vestiges du passé de ce medium à travers le chaos et les décombres » (English – “ … a mutant version of the sculpture that hints at the remnants of the medium’s past through chaos and rubble.”).
Love how the forms are simultaneously both sharp and smooth. The more you look at the works, the more little details all seem to come together.
