NADIR | Gianni Manhattan

I’ve been finding a recurrent theme of industrial vs natural. Stone, wood, fiber, metal.

The writing for NADIR at Gianni Manhattan notes exploration of « the premise that reality (or an imagined reality) can be modeled in ways beyond merely communicating spatial information ».

There is reclamation alongside decay: the text speaks of overtaken landscape and the effects of globalization; the work utilizes found wood and handwoven steel nets.

Aesthetically, suspension continues to entrance me. Here, furthering how the organic and inorganic forms and forces work together.
